1. Agreement
By using Glow & Gauge (glowandgauge.com) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. The site is published by Slate Mill Group.
2. What this content is
Glow & Gauge publishes general consumer information about electric space heaters: published manufacturer specifications, arithmetic derived from those specifications, and editorial opinion about which units suit which rooms.
It is general information, not professional advice. We have not tested the products we write about, we hold no electrical, HVAC or engineering credential, and nothing here is a substitute for a qualified professional or for the manufacturer’s own instructions. Our full methodology sets out exactly what we do and do not do.
3. Electrical and safety disclaimer
This is the section that matters most, so it is stated plainly.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Where anything on this site conflicts with the manual supplied with your heater, the manual governs.
- Electrical work needs a licensed electrician. Anything involving a panel, a breaker, new wiring or a 240 V circuit is outside what you should undertake on the strength of a web page — including ours.
- Circuit calculations here are illustrative. We publish the arithmetic and the code rule it derives from, and we cannot know what else is on your circuit, how it is wired, or its condition. Verify against your own installation.
- Space heaters carry a genuine fire risk. Follow the U.S. Fire Administration’s guidance: three feet of clearance in every direction, turn the heater off when you leave the room or go to bed, and plug it directly into a wall outlet. Our safety section.
- You are responsible for how you use a heater. We accept no liability for damage, injury or loss arising from the use or misuse of any product described here.
4. Accuracy
We take accuracy seriously — every figure on this site is sourced or computed from a published formula. We do not warrant that the content is complete, current or error-free. Manufacturer specifications change, listings are updated, and errors happen.
If you find one, tell us. Our corrections policy commits to fixing factual errors promptly and dating the change visibly.
5. Prices and availability
Prices and availability shown on this site come from a live retail data layer, carry the date they were checked, and change constantly at the retailer. They are indicative only. The price and terms that apply are those shown at the retailer at the moment you buy.
6. Affiliate relationships
This site earns commission on qualifying purchases made through its links, at no extra cost to you. That relationship is disclosed on every page and in full on the affiliate disclosure page.
Purchases are transactions between you and the retailer. We are not a party to them and have no role in fulfillment, returns, warranty or support. Those are the retailer’s and manufacturer’s responsibility.

We link to manufacturer sites, standards bodies, government agencies and retailers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. A link is a citation or a route to buy, not an endorsement of everything at the destination.

The text, formulas as presented, page structure and original arrangement of this site are the property of Slate Mill Group. Product names, brand names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
You may quote from this site with attribution and a link. You may not reproduce it wholesale, and you may not present our computed figures as your own.
