Search for this machine's wattage and you will quickly find 2,250 W. It appears in UK reviews of the HP1, alongside a running cost quoted in pence per hour. If you are shopping in the United States, that number is not yours, and using it will make every calculation you do wrong.
The reason is the outlet. Dyson sells the same product name into two different electrical systems, and the heating element is specified for each. Run the arithmetic both ways and it is obvious which figure belongs where:
